My Story - Coaching in a Neurodivergent world

Welcome to my website!

Hi I’m Sally, a dedicated Health coach specialising in stress management and promoting a healthy lifestyle for individuals who are wired with ADHD & Dyslexia. My commitment is to assist you on your own unique journey towards well-being.

I firmly believe that our neurodivergent brains access and process information uniquely. My mission and passion is to help you increase your knowledge where needed and discover your own tailored approaches and tools for improving your well-being now and in the future.

Together, we’ll explore effective solutions, connections, and joy in a supportive, holistic manner, moving towards a better understanding and embracing the neurodivergent brain for a less stressful and healthier life.

My journey and transition

As a health coach, my nursing background has proven invaluable, providing a solid knowledge foundation upon which to build. My experience underscores the importance of working with strengths and finding or creating the right environment for you. During my time as an A&E nurse, I thrived with minimal chronic stress (which might sound weird) and with noticeable minimal difficulties associated with ADHD. However, due to an old injury, I had to change professions and transition to an office-based role (before discovery and training as a health coach). The result …… Hello ! Burnout, chronic pain, fatigue, and significant challenges with all aspects of my life where executive function is required.

The realisation that I am ADHD-wired as well as dyslexic not only explained much of my life but also changed everything. I adjusted my personal approach, worked with a coach, and saw significant improvements.

I learned to harness the positive aspects of stress. Over three years ago, I left nursing and embarked on this health coaching journey, and I’ve never looked back.

My Approach

I believe in holistic approach to well-being, considering the mind, body, and spirit. With me as your coach, we will work together to identify your strengths, needs, values, and goals. We will develop strategies to address difficulties and celebrate the strengths and abilities that come with an ADHD brain, paving the way for a more fulfilling life. Through personalised guidance and support, I aim to lead individuals towards a healthier lifestyle tailored to the unique intricacies of their ADHD.

Why Me?

I have an instinctual feeling that I am meant to do this. My own personal journey has led me here. My unique blend of professional training, qualifications and personal experience, coupled with my commitment to reducing societal injustices experienced by neurodivergent individuals, set me apart as the ideal person to coach and assist you. I am hyper-focused and curious, thanks to my ADHD, and I am eager to play a part in your personal journey towards a healthier life.

Qualifications and Professionalism

Transitioning from a regulated profession such as nursing to coaching highlights the variability within the coaching industry. I believe in the importance of professional qualifications, development, accreditation, ongoing education, and supervision. I am proud to be registered with UKIHCA and hold a globally recognised Health and Wellness qualification from Well College Global.

It's essential to distinguish between certification and accreditation. Certification often signifies the completion of training, but accreditation necessitates meeting rigorous testing standards based on specific criteria.

My qualifications include:

ADHD ICF certified coaching
ADHD coaching with Sally

Jordi

“Sally made me feel comfortable opening up about what was bothering me. With her questioning, she led me in the direction of finding answers to my problems and made me realize what steps to take to change my behaviour.

Sally listened with interest and without judgment. I liked that she summarized and formulated my steps and goals in a clear way at the end of the session. “
